2018 Travel Scholarship Flyer (Updated)

The ASHE 2018 travel scholarship application is now closed. Thank you to all of the graduate students who submitted an application. Check back on this website in 2019 for the application to receive travel support for the ASHE 2019 annual conference in Portland, OR.Information about the 2018 ASHE Graduate Student Travel Scholarship to attend the ASHE Conference in Tampa, Florida

Each year travel scholarships are available to students whose proposal(s) to present posters, research papers, roundtables, or symposia have been accepted for the ASHE conference, based on the following selection criteria:

    • Significance of the applicant’s need for funding;
    • Significance of what the applicant will gain by attending the conference; and,
    • Thoughtfulness and creativity of applicant’s proposed contributions to ASHE in the upcoming year.
In the application online, you will be asked provide basic information about yourself and the following information:
  1. Your estimated cost of attendance, other funding sources available, how you plan to defray costs, and any relevant financial circumstances
  2. A statement describing what you plan to gain by attending the conference (limit 300 words)
  3. A topic and summary of a blog entry (limit 500 words) that you will write for the ASHE Grads website by December 1, 2018
  4. An idea or revision for a current programmatic initiative for the ASHE grads community (limit 300 words)
